CheckHome is an Aotearoa based franchise business dedicated to high quality and quick turnaround building inspections. While the country was in Alert Level 4, they wanted to run a bold play: optimise their digital marketing while the industry hibernated to hit the ground running when lockdowns ended.

Our research showed that housing supply in Canterbury was strong and there was significant opportunity for growth. At the same time, the market was often relying on cheap and basic inspection reports. These reports can be done by unregistered inspectors and lead to nasty surprises down the road.

We saw a big opportunity to use digital marketing to educate the market about the importance of quality inspections. CheckHome has an advantage because they only work with quality, registered building inspectors. When it comes to an uncertain and turbulent market, we were confident that the right ad strategy would get more buyers to trust CheckHome’s stand out service.

Strategy + Delivery

The opportunities for education and building a bigger business were clear. Armed with understanding, we built a strategy that would increase their leads and get more inspections.

Firstly was the long term Search Engine Optimisation work, aka SEO. We wanted CheckHome to be on the first page of Google for their own brand, and boost how high up they appeared for everything building inspections. 

Next, we wanted to build a strong paid search ad strategy with Google Search ads. Our expert team of performance specialists used tried and true methods to understand what customers were searching for in Wellington and Canterbury. This helped us build a campaign that would show CheckHome to everyone who needed their services.

Our leading creative team took keyword research from performance and developed a set of search ads and website content that was built to succeed. Ad copy was wordsmithed to mention phrases that people commonly search. The creative team wrote dynamic ads that were relevant to a person’s location and interests, so CheckHome was the most appealing. Lastly, creative layered into every ad the assurance that working with CheckHome meant quality inspections and no surprises when buying a home.
