We’ve collated a shortlist of all the stunning photo submissions from round 1, and now for round 2 of the competition we need your help to vote which is the best!

At Aro Digital, we believe that Wellington has some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the country. And we're on a mission to prove it.

So, that’s where you come in. We’re on the lookout for the most sensational, stunning, and spectacular photo you’ve snapped of Wellington’s famous sunrises or sunsets that we can use for our work - and what better way to find one than making it a competition! 

This competition is open to everybody - no matter the level of skill or what device you use. The only guidelines of the competition are;

1. The photo has to be taken around the Wellington Region.
2.  The photo has to be of a sunrise or sunset.

How the competition works: 

Round 1: Community Submissions - Now Closed!

We’ll be accepting submissions from the 15th June to the 30th June. Anyone can enter, with any kind of sunrise/sunset photo. You’ve got 2 weeks to get the perfect shot!

Round 2: Voting - Now Open!!‍

Everyone gets a chance to vote! Pick your favourite sunrise & sunset photos. We’ll have prizes for the winner and spot prizes for voters too. Runs from 1 July - 15 July.

How to Enter:

You think you’ve got the winning image? Right this way! 

Simply hit the “Submit image’ button down below and you’ll be redirected to our form. Just pop in your details, chuck in your instagram handle (so we can tag you if your image wins!), and then upload your image (please no bigger than 10MB). 

Disclaimer: Any info you give us will only be used to contact you if you win, we won’t be signing you up for newsletters or emails.

What we’ll use the image for:

By entering this competition, you’re granting us full permission to use your image (should it win) for our professional documents and slides. Of course, we’ll give you credit where it’s due by acknowledging your fabulous work with a watermark of your name or handle when and where we use it. 

And if you’re okay with it - we’ll share it on social media too.

Competition Prizes: 

The winner of the competition will receive their awesome photo professionally printed, along with a prize pack filled to the brim with local goodies - including prizes from Bolton Hotel, Wellington Cable Car, Hurricanes, Zealandia & more! We’ll also have a variety of smaller spot prizes for some other lucky photo-submitters. 

So, whether it’s beautiful bluey-purple tones or pastel pinky-orange hues, we want to see photo evidence of the colours that make Wellington’s morning and evenings the best in New Zealand!
